Our School

Park Terrace Elementary serves students in preschool through grade 4 from Spring Lake Park, Fridley and nearby communities just northwest of Minneapolis.

At Park Terrace, every child is known, valued and challenged to grow. Our personalized approach to learning gives students hands-on experiences in flexible learning spaces designed to meet their needs. Teachers know each learner well and adapt instruction, support and learning experiences so every student can succeed.

Our students and families bring many cultures, languages and life experiences to our school. We celebrate those differences and build strong relationships with every child and family. When students feel known, valued and connected, they are more engaged, confident and ready to learn.

Students:

  • Students in preschool through grade 4

  • A diverse student and family population represent a wide range of ethnicities and life experiences — 35 different languages spoken at home

  • Title I funding provides extra support for all students in reading and math

  • Home base for K-4 students in the Reach and Connect programs

Special Times:

  • "Spark" programming after school exposes students to new experiences and activities that may "spark" their interest - from dance and athletics to art and STEM activities.

  • Passport to Learning, Literacy and STEM nights and the annual Carnival engage Park Terrace families in their child's learning throughout the year. These events help build school-home connections to support student engagement and success.
